May 2007 - Management and staff at the Marks Tey Hotel, Colchester are celebrating four star success after a successful AA inspection awarded them four star status with a merit score of 73%.
February 2007 - The Harbour Lights Restaurant at the Langstone Hotel, Portsmouth was awarded second place in the recent Portsmouth News Restaurant awards. Head Chef Roy McCaskall and his team where delighetd with the acheivement which follows substantial investment in the restaurant and hotel during the last few years.
November 2006 - Paten Hotels have announced the introduction of free high speed internet access at their hotels in Bedford, Portsmouth, Colchester and Stratford Upon Avon. Robert smith, Sales & Marketing Director for the hotel group said, "Research conducted with our regular clients and business travellers indicated that the charges being made by hotels for the provision of internet access are becoming a serious consideration when choosing a hotel or conference venue. Paten Hotels have decided to respond to this by introducing Free internet access for all customers delivered by wifi or hard wired solutions".
